The Edinburgh Fringe

The Edinburgh Fringe, which is the largest and most international theatre festival in the world, is in full swing here in Auld Reekie. The normal population has literally tripled in size, and most of the tourists spend their days on MY street of residence. It's a little scary to step outside. Bretton and I have even developed a new sport: tourist dodging. It requires great skill...not for amateurs/nice people. I must be in so many random family photos by now. So, as you can see, it has been obnoxiously difficult to take blog pictures, since I'm a bit shy about it to begin with. I'll have to find a secret spot, or maybe even take a trip to the shore.

These small complaints are truly the only downside to the festival though, I must say. I've seen about two plays a day (each one better than its predecessor), everything is open super late, and the night life is to die for. More pictures of it to come....I'll have to shell out some change and get a few good ones of the street performers. Their costumes are mind-blowing!

^^my street! :D

Ooo, lucky! I wish I could see two plays a day. I have been a bad former theatre student and have only seen one play in the last year. A whole year! Very bad indeed. What plays have you seen? Originals? Classics?
